Philanthropy

BIOTRONIK has a strong tradition of giving to philanthropy, and is actively engaged in local, national and international charity. Not only does BIOTRONIK consider giving to communities and patients in-need as part of our corporate responsibility as a member of the global community, but a sincere and compassionate reflection of our belief in 'excellence for life'. 

The current highlight of our philanthropic activity is a mission to save over a thousand lives via a strong strategic alliance with Heartbeat International Foundation (HBI), a global charity dedicated to providing much-needed heart devices to indigent patients.

There are one million - and possibly as many as three million - people who die each year because they cannot afford a pacemaker or ICD. The partnership between HBI and BIOTRONIK is dedicated to bringing those numbers down. 

HBI has been in the business of saving lives in the poorest corners of the world since its founding 25 years ago. Patients in some of the most impoverished areas of Pakistan, Honduras, Benin, Venezuela, Kenya, Guatemala, Trinidad, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Philippines, Thailand, India and China have benefited from HBI’s efforts. 

HBI was selected as our philanthropy partner because they are an admirable organization who we are honored to support in their ongoing efforts to save lives.
