BIOTRONIK has launched its Home Monitoring system into the next generation of patient care by enabling collaborative care networks, an information link that brings teams of physicians and even clinics together to form what is essentially a "virtual clinic".

The ultimate goal is to optimize patient management by sharing data on various levels within a given clinic or between clinics, while promoting more efficient and effective workflows. The data that are provided in the network are only available to the appropriate caregivers through the protected website. That means patient information is controlled, consistent and immediate for those individuals involved in the patient‘s detailed care and follow-up. No more transporting of files or delays in reviewing vital patient data.

By establishing collaborative care networks,  multiple clinic caregivers can monitor multiple files at the same time, improving patient care, follow up processes and interdisciplinary communication.
