Traffic Light System

BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring^® uses three simple colors to quickly and automatically convey a wealth of vital information to physicians who need on-the-spot patient data anytime, anywhere.

And since the highly flexible "intelligent" traffic light system automatically filters and prioritizes patient data based on individual or group customized alert-parameters, workflow is reduced while efficiency is enhanced.

It works like this. Event notifications are assigned with a red or yellow color-code to ensure that only serious  or important  patient status changes are alerted to the physician. The "red-dot" principle serves as a simple navigator that lets physicians quickly assess the patient's status at a glance while allowing them to focus only on those cases with clinically relevant events. This certainly saves clinic time and enhances patient care.
 

The intelligent traffic light system at work:

• Red  indicates a severe deviation from a defined threshold with high priority
• Yellow  indicates an important deviation from a defined threshold with priority
• White indicates the absence of any severe or important change in a patient's condition or refers to an already acknowledged finding

In addition to color-coded messages on the internet, the physician can receive a notification via email, fax, or text message in case of serious changes in the patient’s status.
