European Physician Education Program

4. EHRA Physician Education Program

The European Physician Education Program is affiliated with the European Heart Rhythm Association and is designed to prepare physicians for the EHRA cardiac device exam. Aimed at supporting physicians in their career in cardiology or electrophysiology, the program consists of six two-day modules on pacemakers, ICDs and cardiac resynchronization therapy undertaken at the BIOTRONIK education center at headquarters in Berlin.

Advanced Concepts in Electrophysiology

5. Advanced Concepts in Electrophysiology (ACE) Session
Interactive Workshop for CRT and EP New York, NY

This program is designed to be highly interactive and to maximize the active exchange of ideas between participants and faculty. Live case sessions will be included, with an emphasis on techniques and troubleshooting using advanced technologies to maximize patient outcomes. The aim of the CRT portion of the program is to build more experience in LV-lead positioning. Advanced competency in device preparation, intra-operative measurements, and surveillance will be discussed in depth, as well as a review of the skills required for device programming. This program is tailored for electrophysiologists who are interested in learning advanced CRT implant and troubleshooting techniques. The aim of the EP portion of the program is to establish greater experience in understanding the diagnosis and treatment of complex tachyarrhythmias with the latest ablation techniques and state-of-the-art lab equipment.

International CRT Workshop

6. International CRT Workshop Leipzig

The international CRT Workshop at the University Heart Center in Leipzig provides deep insights to the clinical application of cardiac resynchronization therapy. During this program a total of 6 live implantations of CRT systems will be transmitted and shared including bidirectional communication between the operation team and the audience. State-of-the art presentations on patient selection, important publications in the last 12 months, case-based troubleshooting, and follow-up via BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring round up this high-class educational program.

BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring for Medical Professionals

7. BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring for Medical Professionals

During this two-day program, participants will learn how to use BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring. Besides gaining an understanding of the functionality, medical professionals will share their experience with other experts in the field of telecardiology and will be trained in the clinical evaluation of BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring findings and its practical consequences. Workflow models of clinical use will also be discussed with the participants.

Customized physician programs

8. Customized physician programs

In partnership with BIOTRONIK Centers of excellence, customized physician programs are undertaken over 3 days and blend didactic presentations, case studies and hands-on skill enhancement sessions focused on anatomy, manoeuvres and procedure techniques. Sessions are led by local and internationally recognized proctors to improve the participants’ skill through experience in a hands-on environment: device implantation, understanding the diagnosis and ablation of complex tachyarrhythmias.

Global preceptorship program

9. Global preceptorship program

The Global Preceptorship Program is built on a strong partnership with high level and renowned clinics predominantly in Germany, Hungary and Israel. The program is focused on providing young and experienced physicians with an individual practical clinical training in device implantation, EP procedure/ Ablation and Vascular Intervention. Physicians have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience during each program if it is approved by the proctor. The duration of the program can run for a minitum of two days up to three weeks, giving physicians the opportunity to gain access to innovative cardiac technologies, products, procedures and to observe and learn how BIOTRONIK products are implanted and used by highly qualified experts.
