BIOTRONIK at EHRA 2022
BIOTRONIK was delighted to meet dozens of physicians, health care professionals and scientists from all over the world at the EHRA 2022 congress that took place on April 3–5, 2022, in Copenhagen. We introduced our portfolio to advance cardiac patient management for proactive care.
There were plenty of fruitful discussions between our team members and industry experts at the BIOTRONIK booth, where we presented our latest solutions for cardiology professionals. They had the opportunity to experience the conduction system pacing (CSP) tools at the Mentice Simulator and try out Zero-Gravity, while our EP segment displayed its complete portfolio, including the unique AcQMap 3D Imaging and Mapping System.
Our thanks to all those who visited our booth, joined our various tutorials and symposia, and expressed interest in what we do.
New Offerings for Health Care Professionals
Heart Insight - Heart Failure Management Solution
We successfully introduced HeartInsight,* our next-generation premium remote heart failure management solution that identifies patients at higher risk of decompensation early on by providing a single, actionable alert that predicts heart failure hospitalization. Learn more about HeartInsight here.
*Approved in the CE region only.
Patient App - Remote Patient Management Solution
We presented our new tool for digital patient engagement: the BIOTRONIK Patient App. Digital health applications can be powerful add-ons to existing therapy. By providing both patients and clinicians with relevant information, as well as opportunities for greater digital interaction, the Patient App aims to support the more active role patients can have in their care and give them reassurance and peace of mind. Learn more about the Patient App here.
Scientific Symposia with Leading Industry Experts
BIOTRONIK hosted two satellite symposia that were chaired by prominent speakers from leading European institutions.
- Electrophysiology Symposium: Together with Acutus Medical, BIOTRONIK hosted a symposium titled “Discovering the essence of electrophysiology by treating non-sustained and complex arrhythmia with charge density mapping.” Chaired by Prof. Dipen Shah from Geneva, the renowned speakers Dr. Murray, Dr. Szili-Torok and Dr. Pope presented and discussed new clinical data on how to optimize diagnosis and treatment of different types of atrial tachycardias especially short-lasting tachycardias utilizing the capabilities of the AcQMap. Watch the recording here.
- AF Management Symposium: The symposium “AF Management – How does novel technology help to address this comprehensive task?” was chaired by Prof. Dr. Sticherling from Basel and Prof. Dr. Hatala from Bratislava. They took the attendees on a journey through the AF management process. It started with AF screening and the right timing for therapy decisions, and it was followed by an overview of modern rhythm control and evaluation of the role of monitoring in AF therapy. Sharing Knowledge and Experience in Hands-On Tutorials
Complementary to the new offerings and the symposia were our hands-on CRM and EP tutorials. Our visitors learned from leading experts about heart failure management and hospitalization prediction, received the latest information on stylet-driven leads in CSP and experienced how noncontact mapping can support clinicians in treating untreatable patients.
