Field Clinical Specialist

Kim (at BIOTRONIK since 2007)

I began working for BIOTRONIK in 2007, accepting a position in the technical service department at the US headquarters. I previously had worked in a cardiac catheter lab, and this was my first office position. The adjustment was quite simple. My coworkers, as well as everyone else in the office, were very gracious and welcoming.

Starting in the technical services department was a valuable experience. I learned a great deal about the company and our products, as well as gained skills communicating with a wide variety of people, such as patients and physicians. After working in the tech services for a year, a field position opened up in Portland. I was excited because the idea of working in the field interested me, and I truly wanted to stay in the Portland area.

I jumped at the opportunity, and now I work as a field clinical specialist covering the state of Oregon. What I enjoy moast about this position is that I constantly use the knowledge I gained interacting with patients and health care professionals during my time in technical services. I feel very fortunate to have the opportuniy to work for BIOTRONIK, which is such a innovative, focused company.
