Compensation / Bonus
BIOTRONIK, Inc. provides base pay and bonuses (for non-sales employees).
Bonuses are an important element of BIOTRONIK, Inc.´s variable pay and are central to BIOTRONIK Inc.´s approach to compensation. Our philosophy is to offer a portion of variable pay (more than market average in most cases) because this provides a strong link between employees´ compensation and company performance.
Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits
BIOTRONIK, Inc. provides comprehensive and cost-effective medical, dental, and vision plans. Employees have the opportunity to cover eligible dependents including domestic partners. Medical, dental and vision benefits start on your first work day.
Vacation / Sick Time
We believe in a balanced work life environment that encourages employees to enjoy time away from work. As such, we offer a generous vacation package that enables you to get away from work to recharge. In addition to our competitive vacation allotment which start at 10 days per year, employees accrue an additional day of vacation after the first anniversary day and each year thereafter until you reach 20 days each year.
Employees accrue seven days per year of sick time. Unused sick time at year-end in excess of 40 hours may be paid in December each year as a bonus, or converted to vacation time, or left in your sick time accumulation.
BIOTRONIK, Inc. provides employees with 10 paid holidays each year, including one floating holiday.
401 (k) Plan
Our 401 (k) plan is designed to help employees meet their financial goals and objectives. The company will match 75 cents to the dollar up to the first five percent of the employee´s base salary on a tax-deferred basis.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Employees can elect to participate in flexible spending accounts for both personal health care and dependant care. Each account has a maximum election of $5000 per year, and the premium contributions are deducted on a pre-tax basis.
Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D), Long-Term Disability Insurance and Long-Term Care
Employees are provided with Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability and Short-Term Disability insurance benefits at no cost. Life and AD&D Insurance for most employees is figured on two times the employee´s annual base salary.
Supplemental Employee Life, Spouse / Domestic Partner Life and Dependant Life are available at group rates.
Employees may also enroll themselves and family members (including parents and siblings) in Long-Term Care at group rates.
Employee Assistance Program
Employees and family members / domestic partners may call for work-life and personal assistance. A toll-free hotline number is available seven days / week, 365 days / year. Utilization is completely confidential.
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides employees and their eligible dependents confidential access to short-term professional counseling services at no cost.
