With MRI Guard 24/7, BIOTRONIK makes MRI exams for care teams and CIED patients even smarter and more efficient. This unique technology provides an automatic MRI mode switch for easy MRI examinations without pre- and post-scan programming appointments^1,2 - activated for 365 days.

Temporary MRI Mode

MRI Guard 24/7 builds on BIOTRONIK's MRI AutoDetect capability: A built-in sensor automatically detects the MRI environment. The device enters a predefined MRI mode only during the scan and returns to normal therapy afterward.

Patients stay in asynchrony mode for the shortest time needed leading to increased patient safety.

Active up to one year

Keeps the MRI detection sensor active for up to one year, allowing MRI scans at any time during that period. Streamlines processes for patients, cardiologists, radiologists, and healthcare institutions.

Automatic Transmission*

Multiple MRI scans can be performed without repeated device reprogramming once the function is activated. Once BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring is active, the implant can automatically transmit a report within 24 hours after the MRI examination.

BIOTRONIK offers a comprehensive portfolio of cardiac monitors, pacemakers, ICD and CRT systems and cardiac monitors which are tested and approved to be MR conditional. BIOTRONIK therefore allows patients implanted with these device systems to undergo MRI scans under certain conditions.

All our latest generation of devices contain MRI AutoDetect for a simplified MRI access for CIED patients. Devices with MRI AutoDetect have a built-in sensor for detecting the MR environment. As a result the device automatically switches to the predefined MRI setting.
