What Is an International Implant Card

The International Implant Card or Patient ID is a small foldable piece of paper that holds information that is specific to your implant, including its leads. The information will come in handy when you have to identify yourself as someone with an implant. For example, when you’re scheduling an MRI at the doctor's office, your International Implant Card holds the information if your implant is MRI-compatible. The implant card will be handed or sent to you already filled in.
