Overview

The CardioFocus Centauri™ PFA System is a cutting edge, open platform design that supports your current focal contact force catheter workflow, leveraging a custom monopolar waveform designed to achieve transmural lesions while eliminating microbubbles and muscle stimulation. Seamlessly integrating into your existing workflows, the Centauri System enables physicians to confidently deliver durable PFA lesions while enhancing procedural efficiency, safety, and patient outcomes.

System features include:

  • Three selectable monopolar PFA doses offered at 19, 22, and 25 Amps for lesion control
  • Impedance balanced energy delivery to ensure consistent, predictable transmural lesions
  • Current control algorithm ensures consistent energy output in all patients
  • Versatility through an open platform supporting three commercially available contact force catheters:
    • TactiCath Sensor EnabledTM
    • THERMOCOOL SMARTTOUCHTM
    • INTELLANAV STABLEPOINTTM

Powerful precision. Proven depth.

The Centauri System delivers deep, durable, focal lesions using any of three commercially available contact force–sensing catheters. Its titratable energy delivery enables lesion depths exceeding 8mm at 25A1, offering powerful performance where it matters most. For regions with thinner tissue, flexible 19A and 22A settings allow operators to personalize treatment with precision – maximizing control while optimizing outcomes.

Custom monopolar waveform

The Centauri System utilizes the custom WAVE1 monopolar biphasic waveform to deliver transmural PFA lesions while effectively eliminating the potential for microbubbles and muscle stimulation.

In a monopolar configuration, an electric field is created at the catheter tip that is directed towards a remote dispersive electrode. As a result, monopolar devices achieve deeper lesions than equivalent bipolar configurations.

Durable outcomes

With versatility through an open platform utilizing focal contact force catheters and a custom monopolar waveform the Centauri System delivers durable outcomes.

ECLIPSE AF remapping data showed overall per-PVI durability of 89% in optimized cohorts using TactiCath SE, StablePoint, and ThermoCool ST

12-month freedom from clinically significant atrial arrhythmia survival rate for paroxysmal patients was 90.2%
